Job Overview

We are looking for talented, passionate, and driven Reporters to join our editorial team. As a Hausa360 reporter, you will be responsible for gathering, researching, writing, and delivering high-quality stories in both Hausa and English. You will be at the heart of our mission to inform, educate, and inspire our audience with credible news and human-interest stories.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and investigate newsworthy stories from your assigned beat (e.g., politics, security, community affairs, education, entertainment, etc.)

• Conduct interviews and fact-check information from reliable sources

• Produce original content in Hausa (and English, where applicable)

• Write, edit, and submit daily or weekly reports for publication on the Hausa360 platform

• Attend press conferences, events, and briefings as assigned

• Collaborate with editors, photographers, and social media team to enhance story delivery

• Adhere to journalistic ethics and uphold the integrity of the Hausa360 brand

Requirements & Qualifications

• Strong writing and communication skills in Hausa (Fluency in English is an added advantage)

• Background in journalism, mass communication, political science, or related field (Degree or diploma preferred)

• Basic skills in graphic design and content management systems (CMS)

• Social media literacy and ability to create engaging content for digital platforms

• Confidence to interview high-profile individuals and report from the field

• Passion for storytelling and dedication to uncovering the truth

• Prior experience in news reporting or community media is a plus
